A Vision Without A Mission

Assalamualaikum ikhwan wa akhwat.

When I was on my way to write this, I was thinking... Is it necessary for me to write? What is my purpose of writing this? So many thoughts went through my mind until I realised that I have over think. It's better for me to just write and if nobody find this beneficial, it's okay. As long as it doesn't gives you harm.

I have been thinking a lot for the past few days. Maybe because there's no school or any other classes that always make me sort of busy and lack of free time to think more about my 'vision' for the future. I kept asking people about their opinion.. their thought.. What should I be in the future? They asked me back, what is my ambition. Well, I don't have any specific answer for that but I know I want to be someone who will change this world.

Many of the Ustaz and Ustazah that I know told me that I should be a lecturer. They think we need more wise-thinker.. It's not that I am wise enough, it's just if I learn more and master the knowledge, InsyaAllah I can. Some of the people that I know told me that I should be an engineer because I got to learn Physics and Chemistry. It's okay with me since I didn't find it as boring subjects like some of the students. But, I love Sejarah more and I even score more for Sejarah rather than Bahasa Melayu. They think I should be a lawyer because of this... I remember when I was 12 year-old, my mother's friends told my mom that they thought I would turn out as a lawyer. I didn't know if they really mean it or just said that because my mom was a lawyer. Not enough with that, some of my teachers think I should take Islamic Studies. My problem is, I don't really qualify for that but I can if I want to.

I don't know if I just over think about my future but I really want to do something for the Ummah before I turn 20. Maybe it sounds ridiculous since me, myself cannot do anything for my own family.

What I really wanted to do is to bring back the glory of our past. In order to do that, we need to get rid of social problems among the youth, enhance knowledge... you know.. science and technology. Ibn Al Haytham with his theory of light, Ibn Sina, Al Farabi, Ibn Al Nahfis... hemm, you know what I mean. I wanted to be like them. They contributed a lot!

But then... I asked myself, I'm not the only one. Not the only person who live in this world. Other people can do that, I just have to do ONE of it. I mean, let me be the teacher and the others will be the engineer, accountant, architect and what ever that comes to your mind.

I would like to see a real Muslim behind those profession. We are lacking of our own product. I would love to type with a keyboard that was made by a Muslim. As in, they invent it. 80% of the producer of halal product is from the non-muslims. What can I say... I just hope that there will be more Muslims entrepreneur. In other words...

MORE USEFUL MUSLIMS.

"I SWEAR WITH FIRM BELIEF IN OUR HEART, WE CAN BRING BACK THE GLORY OF OUR PAST."

Last but not least,

we cannot do this if our youth keep acting like they are acting right now.
